THE AD PLAGUE
Pop-up ads can drive a person insane (ok, not literally but you get the picture) with the way they interrupt one's online activity at every chance. They are usually some of the slowest few seconds of one's life.
Unfortunately, worse than pop-up ads are the advertisements packaged to us in form of skits and other short video content on the pages of our fave creators.
As discussed in our recent blog posts, content creators tend to have segments for advertisements or create the entire video around promoting a particular product or service in order to earn money.
While this helps the creators to earn a living, it lives the creator's audience feeling dissatisfied because it's one thing to expect valuable content, it's another to have advertisements served to you everytime.
Are we going to keep up with having substandard, advert-filled content pushed at us or we are going to take to the streets to demand and enforce our rights on getting value-rich content?
(Okay that was quite intense!)
In understanding the dissatisfaction of the creator's audience and the reason behind the advertisements in many content ( to make money), Ckrowd has put forward a win-win solution.
On Ckrowd, video content creators would be able to put up their content on Ckrowd while their audience pay to watch them. This challenges the creators to deliver splendid content while the audience feel well catered for.
This takes out the need for ads in the creator's videos as revenue is now being generated directly from the content made and not a third-party agreement.
